Co-Founder of CirrusMD Elliot Sands

An executive management professional with broad experience in business development, Elliot Sands joined the SHP Foundation as a chief operating officer in May 2021. In this role, he provides operational support for the $14-million foundation focused on low-income housing and preventing homelessness in the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition to working closely with foundation leaders on strategic direction, Elliot Sands oversees projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.

Along with his work with the SHP Foundation, Mr. Sands is a co-founder of CirrusMD, a telemedicine company that has acquired more than $20 million in Series-C financing. Over the past eight years, he has handled accounting and banking aspects of the company’s operations.

Elliot Sands holds a bachelor of arts in religious studies from Westmont College, an MBA in business management from San Jose State University, and a master of divinity from Western Seminary. A member of the board of directors with Missions Door, he supports the organization’s goal of building healthy and empowered networks of churches and ministries worldwide.
